Anji Preston is an artist who has experimented with many different mediums and creative techniques. Art has always played an important part in her life, when she was young her Mother, a self taught artist would take her outdoors to draw and paint. Whilst teaching English at a busy secondary school, Anji often used creativity as a tool to aid her teaching. As a keen environmentalist and gardener nature has had a great influence on her work.

Taking a 'down-to-earth' approach to her painting still continues to challenge her and she aims to provoke a contemplation of life and nature, to show the 'art' that is all around. Anji's paintings are often large, colourful and represent the harmony in nature, often focusing on a single petal or leaf in detail.

Anji presently works in the field of Family Learning where she engages families to explore their own creativity.

Anji is currently working towards her city and Guilds 7823 Artist in Residence Qualification with ArtyBird.
